Mit Ausnahme von Lauanne, wo ein spezieller Kurs für 6- bis 10-Jährige organisiert wird, sind unsere Kurse für Kinder von 9 bis 16 Jahren offen. Einschreibungen für jüngere oder ältere Schüler müssen im Sekretariat begründet werden. Der Unterricht findet ausschliesslich in französischer Sprache statt, ausser in Biel, wo Deutschunterricht geplant ist (siehe unten).

With the exception of Lauanne where a special course for 6-10 year olds is organised, our courses are open to children from 9 to 16 years old. Any enrolment for younger or older students must be justified to our secretariat. The classes are given exclusively in French, except in Biel where classes in German are planned (see below).

Timetable :

This is not a holiday camp as such, as the students do not sleep on site. The classes are given for 3 hours a day from Monday to Friday:

• Slot 1 : de 9h00 à 12h00
• Slot 2 : de 13h30 à 16h30

Customised and evolving program

Our classes are designed for students of different levels. They are designed to allow for a real synergy while offering personalised and progressive support.

The student starts with a simple project, which will allow to lay the foundations, while determining the desires and needs, according to the current level. Thereafter, he is accompanied in the creation of much more complete and personal projects. He or she will perfect his or her technique and, if desired, develop scenarios or concentrate on pure illustration work. The class focuses on different techniques and artistic trends, opening the student's mind to the different possibilities that are open to him: Manga, Belgian comics, comic books, realistic drawing or his own creativity.

Classes with digital tools (Ipad etc.) are given exclusively in Lausanne.

Objectives and skills

Techniques covered

• Human anatomy - The body, the face, emotions, proportions
• Non-human anatomy - Animals and imaginary characters
• Static and moving bodies
• Set design - Environment and perspective work
• Objects and props 
• Character creation - Character design
• Colour, light and shading
• Construction of a scenario, division of the boxes in relation to the text
• The work of the "bubbles" or phylactery

Such a comprehensive project allows the student to learn many drawing skills (proportion, perspective, light, etc.) while being free to choose the technique used (pencils, felt pens, gouache, watercolour, ink, digital). Thus, the student works on the development of his personal style.
