The Japaneuch 2023 festival, a must-attend event for Japanese culture in Switzerland, once again proved to be the meeting point for lovers of manga, video games and pop culture in the heart of Neuchâtel. The Apolline art school, renowned for its manga drawing courses, was a standout performer at the festival, and organized a much-appreciated drawing competition.

Located in the beautiful Neuchâtel region, the Apolline art school has made a name for itself on the Swiss cultural scene. Its manga drawing courses are renowned for their quality and unique pedagogical approach. It was this expertise that the school brought to the Japaneuch festival, offering participants a unique chance to explore the world of manga drawing.

The Apolline stand was a real center of attraction at the festival. Hosted by our manga drawing teacher, Maïka, the stand welcomed a large number of participants, curious to learn more about this Japanese art form. Maïka shared her love of manga drawing, an important part of Japanese pop culture, with a receptive and enthusiastic audience.

The highlight of our presence at Japaneuch was undoubtedly our drawing competition. Centered on the theme "Japan in Neuchâtel", the competition was a great success. The selection criteria emphasized the importance of the link with the theme, the effort and finish of the drawing, as well as narrative and originality. The manga drawings submitted reflected a deep understanding of Japanese culture, rooted in the local context of Neuchâtel, echoing the spirit of the Japaneuch festival.

And now we announce the winners of our drawing competition. These talented artists have brought the beauty of Japan to Neuchâtel through their manga drawings.
