Sacha Dumais was born in 1997 in France. A multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, composer, and performer, he grew up in the Annecy region, near the French-Swiss border.
He is a founding member of AlterBoy and also performs as a duo with the artist Betty Patural.
He is part of La Machinerie, a collective founded by artists and cultural actors from French-speaking Switzerland, aiming to blend musical genres and offer a fresh perspective on the region’s artistic landscape.
Driven by a passion for creation, writing, composition, and sharing, he crafts music that is deeply emotional, where the grand and the intimate intertwine.
He released the first EP of his group AlterBoy, titled Fake?, which brings together influences from Trip-Hop, Rock, Electro-Pop, Folk, as well as Classical and Impressionist music.
In 2024, he adopted the name FujiFormula and released his debut solo album No Formulae, a contemplative and unrestricted musical journey centered on emotional expression.
He features on the EPs On and On and Over and Out by Etienne Machine, and on D'où je suis, où es-tu ? by Betty Patural.
He also co-composed and produced the 2024 releases of the band Diggin’.
In addition to his personal projects, Sacha is involved in numerous collaborations with artists and bands such as Betty Patural, German Lola, Etienne Machine, and J.NUNN. He supports them in concert and/or studio sessions, contributing as an arranger, producer, and composer.
He had the opportunity to produce, direct, and record an album at the legendary Ocean Sound studio in Norway with the artist J.NUNN. The first single from this collaboration will be released at the end of August 2025.
With over ten years of musical experience, Sacha has performed hundreds of concerts with various artists across many countries.
Alongside his artistic career, he has also been teaching electric bass, music production (MAO), and piano for several years.
