Originally from Rostov-on-Don (Russia), Aleksandra began her musical journey at the age of four by learning classical and jazz piano. Driven by her passion, she moved to Paris in 2018 to further her training before settling in Lausanne in 2022. Having brilliantly graduated with a double Bachelor's degree in jazz piano and vocals from the Haute École de Musique (HEMU) in Lausanne, she is currently pursuing a double Master's degree there with a focus on pedagogy. Alongside her academic studies, Aleksandra is developing an original, multidisciplinary body of work at the crossroads of music, poetry, and textile creation. On the regional scene, she voices her own vision as the bandleader of the project À l'Origine du Don and stands out as a sidewoman in well-known Lausanne-based bands, notably ANIMA and the Simon Tinguely 4tet.
While the rigorous demands of music have accompanied her across Europe since early childhood, this rich journey has above all taught her one essential truth: music is first and foremost an intimate language, a means of expression capable of transcending borders. Having found her own balance by blending voice, keyboard, and visual arts, she views artistic practice as a space of absolute freedom. Today, as an accomplished multidisciplinary musician, it is exactly this uninhibited creative space that she strives to recreate every day for her own students.
Drawing on a teaching practice she has cultivated since 2015, Aleksandra possesses a natural ability to build an atmosphere of trust. She approaches teaching with a radiant attitude: deep listening, immense kindness, and a dedication to closely adapting to the needs of each individual. Whether the desire of the moment is to master the harmonic subtleties of jazz piano, to free one's voice on a melody, or to explore the bridges between improvisation and poetry, she tailors her approach to the student's project. In class, she strikes the perfect balance: enabling the acquisition of solid vocal or instrumental technique, while leaving the necessary room for students to fully express their own creativity.
